1 Minute Kitchen Tip: Stove Top Chocolate Coating

1 Minute Kitchen Tip: Stove Top Chocolate Coating

The Story…

I was making a batch of chocolate covered peanut butter muesli balls and had no shortening or chocolate melts on hand to make a chocolate coating. Being that my microwave sparked itself outside of our galaxy, I didn’t have that option readily available either. Don’t ask how that happened. It took us a while, but we are now proud owners of some new counter top real estate now that we are microwave-free. I also am adverse to attempt the double boiler method to melt chocolate. After scouring the internet for an alternative to these two options, I came up with a few recommendations to use vegetable oil instead. Given that I didn’t have that on hand, I improvised and came up with this 1 Minute Kitchen Tip: Stove Top Chocolate Coating.

  1. Quick and easy tip! Never thought of doing melted chocolate this way but it does make sense. You should have shown us your muesli bars simply for the drool factor.
